Laboratory Alliance of CNY, LLC is an independent, for-profit, clinical and anatomic pathology reference laboratory serving the needs of Upstate New York. Jointly owned by Community General Hospital, Crouse Hospital, and St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center, with 1300+ combined beds, Laboratory Alliance of Central New York, LLC provides a wide range of high quality laboratory testing to more than 500,000 hospitalized and physician office and community-based patients per year.

The company offers an extensive menu of over 1,400 tests and test combinations. It serves its the three owner hospitals and some regional hospitals as well as over 3,000 healthcare practitioners throughout Upstate New York. Each owner hospital houses a Rapid Response Laboratory which retains a staff of between 40 and 75 Laboratory Alliance employees for tests requiring results within two hours of receipt. In addition, a central (core) laboratory was formed at its Operation Center in Electronics Business Park in Liverpool, NY which today has nearly 225 employees. In 2006, the company opened its Corporate Offices on nearby Buckley Road in Syracuse which houses approximately 50 of the company's administrative and support staff. Additional non-hospital clients (long term care facilities, home care agencies, physician group practices, instrumentation & diagnostic test companies) added over the years, have led to a current Laboratory Alliance employment base of over 425 employees.

Alliance provides laboratory services to a region of more than 1,000,000 people. This includes 20,000 patients from the 15 counties surrounding
Onondaga
County, who come to
Syracuse for specialty diagnosis and treatment. The company is equipped with the latest medical and information system technology. Over 8 million tests are performed annually with revenues in excess of $46M.
